Shroud of Turin

Back
Is it an 'x-ray' of Jesus Christ or a painted image?

When a sheet is draped over a human body...

and the contours of the face are traced on the surface of the sheet, while looking directly face-on...

when the sheet is stretched flat,
this is what the contours of the
face look like.

A more thorough demonstration
would also show numerous
distortions caused by the folds of
the drapery.

Furthermore, between the top of the forehead and the back of the

head is the full distance of the
scalp, unlike the top of the head joined to the back of the head, as depicted on the 'Shroud'.

CONCLUSION
As the 'Shroud' it is not representational of any kind of 'direct light' exposure, or radiation, and is not a 'photographic negative', in my opinion, it was the result of an accidental reaction of a 'frontal Jesus' oil painting depiction, (very common), painted on linen and then spread upon a backing sheet, onto which the oil/paint seeped through, creating the ghostly effect. This effect was obviously not missed by the artist, who added a back view of 'Jesus', but blew it by not matching the 'seep through' and by not fully understanding the human anatomy of not leaving a space between the front of the head and the back of the head
.

As the 'seep through' of paint is a process used in screen printing, the 'Shroud' is in reality a printed image.
